REIGN: Blood and Snow
The group of bandits and renegades led by One-Eyed Nina are new arrivals to the northwest region. They are an unusually large band and are forced to move often to avoid drawing the full wrath of the Guild of Soldiers. However, they have been going for a long time and have excellent leadership as well as some highly skilled members – including mages – to draw on. Though many of the band are little more than common sellswords and cuthroats, it is believed that there is a core group consisting of ex-Soldiers or Mercenaries with the training and experience required to run a warband.
Their long-term success has given them deeper coffers than your average group of bandits, and they are generous enough bribers to have acquired a reasonably large net of sympathisers and informants over the years. There are rumours that they have stuck around for so long because powerful figures in the guilds like having an effective ‘wild-card’ to draw on that is easily affordable for someone high-up and comes with no political strings. Wealthy guild backers would certainly explain the group’s longevity, as well as some of its slightly more unusual activities.
Besides standard robberies and protection rackets, Nina’s group is known to bolster its income with targeted assassination and intimidation campaigns, as well as individual thefts or “message” delivery.
